“What stood out about Boss Design was that they weren’t just contractors — they were designers first. The kitchen they created for us is exactly what we wanted, with plenty of cabinet space and better flow than we thought possible in our layout. They finished on time and on budget, and the whole team was a pleasure to work with.”

“Through the whole design process, Talha was willing to make changes as we thought through it. The renderings he created were so accurate — what we saw in the pictures is exactly what we got. Every single day when we walk into this kitchen, we smile.”
Your designer stays with your project from the first consultation through the final walkthrough. You’re never handed off to a different person mid-project.
Every detail is selected before construction begins: cabinets, tile, hardware, and finishes. This is how we give you a firm price upfront with no surprise change orders.
Before construction starts, you’ll see exactly what your finished home will look like through accurate 3D renderings. What you see is what you get.
Design, permitting, construction, and project management are all handled by Boss Design Center. No coordinating between separate designers and contractors.

What does a whole home remodeling project actually include?
It varies by project, but typically includes renovating multiple spaces: kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, and sometimes bedrooms, all under one cohesive design. It may also include structural changes and systems updates to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, along with new flooring and finishes throughout. We’ll define the scope during your initial consultation.
How long does a whole home remodel take in Maryland?
Timelines depend on the scope of work. The process includes a design phase (typically 1 to 2 months), permitting and scheduling (4 to 6 weeks), and construction. Whole home projects take longer than single-room renovations. We’ll give you a specific timeline after reviewing your project during the free consultation.
Do I need to move out during a whole home renovation?
Not necessarily. We can phase construction strategically, completing kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic spaces in a sequence that keeps essential areas of your home functional. Some clients choose to relocate temporarily, which typically allows for faster overall completion. The right approach depends on your project scope, household needs, and timeline. We’ll walk through the options together during your consultation before any decisions are made.
How does Boss Design Center’s fixed-rate contract work?
Before construction begins, every detail is selected: cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures, hardware, and finishes. Once everything is chosen, we issue a fixed-rate contract. That number is what you’ll pay at the end. Change orders are only issued for structural issues discovered after demolition, or scope additions you request.
Will the same designer work with me throughout the project?
Yes. The designer you meet at the start stays involved through project completion. This is intentional. Many contractors hand clients off to a project manager once construction begins, but we don’t work that way. Your designer knows your vision, your preferences, and every material and finish decision made during the design phase. That continuity means fewer miscommunications, fewer surprises, and a finished space that reflects what you approved from day one.
Do you handle permits for whole home projects in Maryland?
Yes, we manage all required permits for your project. Whole home renovations in Maryland typically involve multiple permit types, including building, electrical, and plumbing permits, depending on scope. We coordinate directly with the relevant Maryland jurisdictions and track permit status throughout construction. You won’t need to contact any government office or manage permit paperwork. Our team handles it and keeps you informed of any timeline implications.
Can you work on our home while we’re living in it?
For most whole home projects, yes. Our crew protects unaffected areas of your home, maintains daily cleanup, and can phase work so you’re never cut off from essential spaces. That said, every project is different. Some clients choose to relocate temporarily, especially during the most intensive phases of construction, which typically allows for faster completion. We’ll walk you through exactly what to expect during your consultation, so you can decide the approach that works best for your household.
What does the process look like when getting started?
Schedule a free consultation. We’ll visit your home, take measurements, and talk through your vision, goals, and budget. From there, we’ll put together a plan that outlines the scope and direction of the project before any commitment is required. The consultation gives you a clear picture of what’s possible, what it will realistically cost, and how long it will take. Most Maryland homeowners who come in ready to move forward start working with us within a few weeks of that first meeting.
