What our clients say

What sets Boss Design Center apart

We’re not contractors who offer design as an add-on. Design is where every project starts, and construction follows that vision precisely.

  • One designer, start to finish

Your designer stays involved from first consultation through final walkthrough. No handoffs to someone who doesn't know your project.

  • Fixed-rate contracts

Every material is selected before construction begins, so your contract reflects actual costs. The number we quote is the number you pay.

  • You see it before we build it

We produce photorealistic 3D renderings of your finished spaces before demolition starts. No guessing about what you're getting.

  • We handle the paperwork

Permits, inspections, HOA documentation, and subcontractor coordination are all managed by us so you don't have to.

What our whole home remodeling service covers

When you renovate multiple spaces at once, the result feels intentional – not like rooms updated by different contractors over different years. We design every space together so the finishes, materials, and layout decisions reinforce each other.

Layout redesign, custom cabinetry, countertops, lighting, flooring, appliance installation, and permits. Kitchens typically range from $80,000–$250,000.

Custom vanities, tiled showers, walk-in options, updated fixtures, and improved lighting and ventilation.

Extra bedrooms, home offices, expanded kitchens, and sunrooms, all designed to integrate with your existing home structurally and visually.

Waterproofing, lighting plans, HVAC, and all finishes to convert unused basement space into livable square footage.

Coastal-Inspired Kitchens

One design phase, one project team, one fixed-rate contract covering every room. More efficient and cohesive than tackling spaces separately.

Full condo renovations with expertise in HOA requirements, building-specific rules, and multi-unit property constraints.

Credentials & awards

Boss Design Center holds contractor licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Owner Talha Gursoy holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Maryland with over 10 years of design-build experience.

We’ve received Best of Houzz recognition every year from 2016 through 2025 for both design and client service, and hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We’re members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and ProRemodeler Atlantic. All projects include a 5-year warranty on structural work and a 1-year warranty on all other renovation work.

Common questions about whole home remodeling

What does whole home remodeling typically include?

Most whole home renovations cover the kitchen, primary bathroom, secondary bathrooms, and main living spaces. Some include basement finishing, home additions, or condo-specific work. We plan every space in a single design phase so the result feels cohesive, not pieced together.

How long does a whole home renovation take?

The design phase runs 1–2 months. Construction timelines depend on scope, and multi-room projects often run several months beyond that. We provide a specific timeline before construction begins and hold to it.

What does a fixed-rate contract mean in practice?

The price in your contract is the price you pay at the end. We don’t use allowances or placeholder pricing. Every material and finish is selected during the design phase, so the contract reflects the actual scope. If something unexpected surfaces during construction, we discuss it immediately and provide clear pricing before proceeding.

Can I stay in my home during the renovation?

For single-room projects, most clients stay home. For whole home renovations, we can phase the work to keep parts of your home livable, or walk through the timeline advantages of temporarily relocating. We cover both options during the consultation.

How do you communicate during construction?

Weekly meetings with your project manager and coordinator. Between meetings, our online system (BuilderTrend) gives you real-time access to schedules, updates, and the project timeline.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We obtain and manage all permits, including building, electrical, and plumbing, from application through final inspection. You don’t need to be involved in permitting at all.

What about HOA approval for DC condos or neighborhoods?

We prepare all required documentation and design materials for HOA submission. Homeowners typically need to be the official submitter, but we provide everything needed to make the process straightforward.

What happens if something unexpected comes up during construction?

If we discover a structural issue or outdated system after demolition, we tell you immediately, explain what needs to be addressed, and provide clear pricing before any additional work begins.
